Italy during 12th and 13th centuries welcomed several Provençal and French scholars into its courts and communes, often in search of fortune. They fueled a burgeoning local school of poetry and music, which only faded with the arrival of the poetry of the stilnovisti. Among them, Dante and Petrarch, who frequently praised the troubadours who preceded them.

With “Canzoneta, va!”—the title of the concert, as well as a farewell formula of the time—we embark on a journey through space and time to rediscover poetry and sounds.
