About the concert

The musics inspired on Dante’s works by Franz Liszt represent one of the greatest examples of Dante’s inspirations in musical literature and will be the setting for the final event of the International Composition Competition “Dante 700” which will give space to new musical creations drawn from the Divine Comedy. Two of the most important Lisztian performers such as the pianist Mariangela Vacatello and the organist Andriano Falcioni will be the special guests of the evening.

Mariangela Vacatello

In the two decades since her professional debut, pianist Mariangela Vacatello has brought her virtuosity, passionate interpretations, and magnificent musicality to diverse global audiences. She is recognized worldwide as an exceptionally gifted artist, reflected in the numerous awards and effusive reviews she has received for both her live performances and recordings for Brilliant Classics. Her performances are regularly broadcasted by prestigious Radio Stations worldwide. She has since appeared regularly with such prominent orchestras as the Teatro alla Scala Philharmonic Orchestra, Accademia Nazionale Santa Cecilia in Rome, RAI in Turin, Lithuanian Symphony, Stuttgarter Philharmonics, Nordwestdeutsche Orchestra, Johannesburg Philarmonic, “Haydn” in Trento and Bolzano, Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, Zagreb Philarmonia, Pannon Philharmonic, Moldavian Radio Television, RSI Orchestra, Belgrade Philarmonic Orchestra, Hartford Symphony, Colorado Spring Symphony Orchestra, Prague Chamber Orchestra.

Adriano Falcioni

Adriano Falcioni is an internationally italian concert organist, recognized worldwide for his technical ability and musicality. He was finalist and prizewinners in many international organ competitions in Europe and USA. He holds concerts every year in many important festivals and Cathedrals all over Europe (Westminster Cath in London, Leeds Cath for the new organ Celebrity concerts series, Arp Schnitger organ in Norden and Hamburg, Fulda, Freiburg, Nurnberg, Berlin, Edinburg, Brugge, Amsterdam, Tohnalle in Zurich, France, Austria, Norway, Finland, Poland) USA and South Africa. He recorded many CDs for Brilliant Classics, La Bottega Discantica and maxresearch and he played for many international radio stations and TV.
